EPPO signs working arrangement with Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Luxembourg, 21 November 2023) – The European Chief Prosecutor, Laura Codruța Kövesi, and the Chief Prosecutor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, today signed a working arrangement between the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this arrangement is to facilitate cooperation in criminal matters and exchange of information between the two parties, in order to ensure the effective investigation and prosecution of crimes against the European Union budget. It also demonstrates the EPPO's commitment to working with the competent authorities of EU candidate countries.

The strengthened judicial cooperation between both parties will help to protect the financial interests of the European Union and of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The EPPO is the independent public prosecution office of the European Union. Itis responsible for investigating, prosecuting and bringing to judgment crimes against the financial interests of the EU.
