Last week, following an investigation by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Riga, the city’s District Court convicted four persons of organising a fraudulent tendering procedure, through which they had obtained €780 000 in EU funds.

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) Turin is leading an investigation into a public official of the forestry department from the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley. The Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza of Aosta will put the suspect today under house arrest and around €15 000 will be seized.
