(Luxembourg, 23 January 2025) – Today, the European Chief Prosecutor addressed a letter to the European Commission in line with Recital 16 of Regulation (EU) 2020/2092 of 16 December 2020 on a general regime of conditionality for the protection of the budget of the European Union (Conditionality Regulation), pointing at the amendments of the Austrian law on criminal procedure, which entered into force on 1 January 2025.
The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Iași (Romania) has filed an indictment against two individuals and one company, suspected of misusing EU funded tailoring equipment and unlawfully retaining subsidies. (Luxembourg, 16 January 2025) – An organised crime group suspected of misappropriating nearly €6 million in EU structural funds for innovative manufacturing solutions, such as recycled plastics and green concrete, has been the target of large-scale investigative measures led by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Vilnius (Lithuania), since early December 2024.
