European Prosecutor
Kristel Siitam-Nyiri started her career in the Prosecutor’s Office of Estonia in 1995. During her career as a prosecutor, she has mainly specialised in white-collar crime. From 1999 to 2011 she was the head of the economic crime and corruption department in Tallinn.
In 2011, she was seconded to the Ministry of Justice of Estonia and worked as Deputy Secretary General on Criminal Policy, until her 2020 appointment as European Prosecutor.
