European Prosecutor

Anne Pantazi Lamprou began her career as an EU Law officer at the Cyprus Parliament, before serving for nine years (2002–2011) as Counsel for EU Law at the Attorney General’s office. From 2011 to 2021, she served as a District Judge in the Cyprus judiciary, and between 2021 and 2023, she was appointed as a member of Nicosia’s Assize Court, before being promoted to Senior District Judge in 2023. She has also worked as a trainer at the Judicial Training School of Cyprus, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Judge’s Association. In 2020, she was selected by the General-Secretariat of the Council of the EU as a national expert judge for the ninth round of mutual evaluation of EU Member States, on the enforcement of Framework Decisions regarding the European Arrest Warrant, custodial sentences, probation, supervision and other measures involving the application of the principle of mutual recognition. In June 2023, she was appointed European Prosecutor from Cyprus by the Council of the EU.
