What does it mean to be a trainee at the EPPO?
- Traineeships are offered across various domains, such as communication, operations, finance, law, IT, corporate services, security, data protection, administration or HR.
- Trainees experience all aspects of the functioning of EU's first independent prosecution office, through a comprehensive, one-year programme.
- Depending on their Unit/Sector, trainees may be tasked with drafting policy documents, conducting desk research of relevant case law, providing input for the preparation of legal acts and opinions related to the functioning of the EPPO, creating content for EPPO’s social media and website or assisting with the analysis and improvement of the performance of selected administrative and internal control processes. We believe we have something for everyone.
- You will develop an understanding of the EPPO’s objectives, activities, and day-to-day operations across its different functions and teams, through practical experience.
- You will be able to apply the knowledge acquired during your studies to a real-world professional contexts and specific areas of competence.
- You will gain practical experience and insights into the day-to-day operations of various EPPO’s units and sectors.
- You will work in a diverse, multicultural, and multilingual environment, that encourages mutual understanding, trust and tolerance.
- You will be introduced to a new professional landscape, including its challenges, responsibilities, and career opportunities.
To be considered eligible, you must meet all the following basic eligibility requirements by the application’s closing date:
- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union and enjoy full rights as an EU citizen.
- Have obtained a standard 3-year higher education degree (minimum EQF 6 level), corresponding to a complete Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, recognised in an EU Member State.
- Demonstrate a satisfactory knowledge of English (minimum B2 level).
